Private Lessons
Individual or Multiple Training Sessions that guide you through specific problems while working towards any personal training goals you have. Each lesson is one hour long.
Say goodbye to unwanted behaviors and hello to a well-trained and obedient dog.
The first lesson is a combination of consultation and hands-on training. We’ll start by discussing your dog’s history, behavior, goals, and any specific concerns you have. This allows us to create a tailored training plan. From there, we jump into working with your dog and begin training right away.
A big part of the process is teaching you—the owner—how to handle your dog effectively and consistently. You’ll learn how to communicate clearly, use training tools correctly, and reinforce behaviors between lessons.
Follow-up sessions continue to build on progress and adjust the plan as your dog improves.
Below are our baseline pricing. Custom Lesson Packages can be made.

Behavior Modification For Agressive Dogs
At Willow Creek Dog Training, we understand that aggression is a serious and complex behavior issue. Whether your dog has growled, snapped, lunged, or bitten, we offer private, one-on-one training tailored to help manage and modify aggressive behavior in a safe and controlled environment.
Who These Lessons Are For:
-
Dogs with a known bite history (human or animal)
-
Dogs showing aggression (bite attempts) toward people, dogs, or other animals
-
Dogs displaying fear-based or territorial aggression
-
Cases involving extreme resource guarding or protective behavior
-
Dogs that attack other animals or dogs in the house, and do not let go
What to Expect:
-
The first session is a behavioral consultation and assessment, where we review your dog’s full history, observe behavior, and identify triggers.
-
A custom behavior modification plan will be developed, focusing on safety, structure, and realistic goals.
-
Sessions are conducted in a way that prioritizes everyone’s safety—including the trainer, the dog, and your family.
Important Information:
-
Full disclosure is required. You must inform us of any and all aggressive incidents and known triggers before training begins.
-
Muzzle conditioning may be recommended or required depending on your dog’s history. We will provide you with step-by-step guidance if needed.
-
Dogs should always be secured (on leash, harness, or in a crate), and must remain safely restrained until directed otherwise.
-
We do not guarantee a “cure” for aggression, but we can help you manage, reduce, and understand your dog’s behavior with the right tools and consistency.
Liability & Safety Policy:
-
All clients must sign a behavioral liability waiver prior to beginning training.
-
Owners are responsible for their dog’s actions at all times, even during training sessions.
We reserve the right to refuse or refer cases based on safety concerns or undisclosed behavior.

Whether you come to my training location, or you prefer in-home lessons, there are several programs designed to fit your goals and lifestyle.
What is an Electronic Collar? This is NOT a Shock Collar. An E-Collar is a wireless collar that a dog wears around his/her neck that is operated by the dog handler who uses a hand held transmitter.
What Does It Feel Like? The modern E-collar is no longer a unit that produces static shock, but rather a blunt stimulation. Today, the E-collar is virtually a tens-unit similar to what is used in acupuncture, massage, and physical therapy.
All students will test the collar on their hand before putting it on the dog. The most common reaction I get is, "That's It?"
Why Use An Electronic Collar? It creates an effective way to communicate with your dog. An Electronic Collar lets your dog be off leash, have the freedom they deserve but still allows you to be in full control of them. It can create a solid recall, as well as be used for off leash corrections.
What Collar Do I Buy? We highly recommend and use the Garmin Sport Collars, Mini Educators, SportDogs, or Dogtras. Do NOT buy the cheaper ones, they are unreliable, and the stimulation is too hot!
How Do I Get Started? We MUST set up a Private Lesson where I teach you how the Electronic Collar works and how to properly train your dog with it. NEVER use an Electronic Collar on your own. Your dog must first understand a command before ever using it with an E-Collar.
Why Is It So Important To Setup A Lesson / Teach The Language? There is a quick way to teach a dog on an E-Collar and then there is the right way. It is important to remember that it is not a magic wand that will effortlessly make your dog start listening to you. People can be too quick to start pushing buttons, without explaining any of the "rules" to the dog, and giving unfair corrections. Improper usage of the collar can lead to an unreliable dog, and even behavioral issues. At Willow Creek Dog Training we will teach you how to use the electronic collar to clearly communicate with your dog.
How Long Does It Take To Train A Dog On The E-Collar To Be Reliable? Training is about consistency, don’t expect your dog to do well if you don’t put in the time! Training time depends on your training goals, your dog's previous training history, how much you practice, and the age of your dog. For Full Off Leash Hiking Reliability 6 Lessons is Recommended.
