Behavior Modification Group Class Tuesdays 7pm - 8:15pm Dates: August 25th, Sept. 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd Rain Date: Sept. 29th Prerequisite: Dogs must complete private lessons and receive trainer approval before enrolling in this class. This ensures each dog has the necessary foundation skills and is ready to safely participate in a group setting. This class is designed for dogs with mild leash reactivity toward other dogs and/or people. It is ideal for dogs that bark, lunge, become overly excited, or have difficulty remaining calm and focused when distractions are present During this class, you and your dog will work on: -Building focus and engagement around distractions -Improving leash manners and handler communication -Teaching calm, appropriate behaviors around dogs and people -Increasing confidence while reducing stress and anxiety -Impulse control and relaxation exercises -Learning how to safely navigate real-world situations -Strengthening obedience around distractions This class is intended for dogs that can work in the presence of other dogs at a safe distance. Dogs displaying severe aggression or those that cannot safely participate in a group environment may require additional private lessons before joining. Each class is 75 minutes long. The extra time allows for staggered arrivals and departures, helping ensure safe entry and exit from the parking lot while minimizing unnecessary interactions between dogs. Dogs will remain on leash and work individually throughout the class while learning to remain calm and successful around controlled distractions.
